Exploring the Art of Drawing

The art of drawing is the most fundamental skill that anyone making art must have under their belt. This course will focus on five different aspects of this important visual skill: observational line drawing, creating form with tone, the basics of perspective, capturing movement, and drawing from the imagination. This course is suitable for beginners or those wanting to polish up the skills they already have and will incorporate looking at examples from art history.

Materials required:

A3 sketchbook
6B pencil
Any other drawing materials you already have: charcoal, coloured pencils, watercolour pencils, graphite pencils, conte crayons etc. But unless you want to build up your own collection, I will bring some of these drawing materials for you to try if you do not have them.
