Be inspired by the parkland, trees, lakes, people, birds or other wildlife at Balyang sanctuary, a public park situated in Newtown. In this community arts project, we will work from photographic references taken by you by visiting the sanctuary or those supplied. You can use any medium of your choice, on paper or on canvas to produce an artwork for display in a group exhibition The artist in residence will assist you with drawing and transferring an image, composition, colour choices or any other aspect of the process you may require support to achieve your best result. Be surrounded by others in a supportive community atmosphere to discover or reignite your creativity. Both realistic or abstract interpretations will be included.
This project excludes the use of solvents, so any oil painting will be limited to water mixable varieties.
