As we head towards the closing of this opportunity for free training, I'd like to offer you and your staff, volunteers and patrons an option to do the "Be a digital mentor/guide" workshop in an online format instead of face-to-face. This may make it easier and more practical for some.
2 online webinar-workshops are scheduled, one next week and one the week after. Each is split into 2 parts on different days to reduce brain-strain and fit into people's day better. Dates are;
Thu 16 + Fri 17 May, 10am-12:30pm - register at jo.my/dm-webinar1
Wed 22 + Thu 23 May, 12:00pm-2:30pm - register at jo.my/dm-webinar2
Registration for either webinar is open now.
Remember, this workshop is a backgrounder in helping your local community with technology and aims to raise people's ability to a point where they can head off down their own digital learning path by using the Be Connected learning portal at beconnected.esafety.gov.au
It's important to note that there's no ongoing commitment, digital mentors are free to help others in whatever way works best locally. Ideally that is a regular informal session at your House, but it's entirely up to you and the digital mentors/guides.
