Community arts project: Growling grass frog – endangered species

Join the Artist in Residence to highlight the endangered species, the growling grass frog, local to our region. Working in watercolour, we will first draw from reference photos before using wet in wet techniques to paint individual panels to form a group display. Some previous beginner art skills desirable or use as a refresher to refine your skills and get back into painting.

Community Textiles Project: Textile Frogs
Thursday 1 Sept – 15 Sept ( 3 weeks)
2.00 – 3.00 pm (3 x 1hr sessions)
Cost $45

Use any textile medium of your choice (knitting, crocheting, weaving, felting, sewing) to create a 3d frog or follow along with the workshop to produce a simple stitched version inspired by the art of sashiko ( simple stab stitching) Your finished works will be exhibited in conjunction with our community art project highlighting the growling grass frog.
