Swing Dancing classes and social dancing

Emerging out of the late 1920’s & 30’s, this energetic & playful dance style became popular with jazz and swing music.

If Count Basie gets your toes tapping, Ella Fitzgerald gets your head bopping or Louis Armstrong gets you out of your seat, then join us for a fun class of partner dancing!

 

Class details:

Fortnightly on Wednesdays

Beginner’s class: 7pm-8pm ($15)

Social dancing: 8pm – 9pm

Do I need a partner?
Nope. We change partners frequently as part of class.
 
What do I wear?
Anything comfortable that you can move around in and shoes that stay on your feet. Sneakers that aren’t too grippy or low-heeled shoes generally work well.
 
Do I need to bring anything?
You may wish to bring a water bottle and a small towel.
