History on Film – Geelong West Celebrates!

Our friendly Historian, Colin Mockett, has been rummaging around in the City’s archives and has come up with a swag of (mostly black & white) films showing Geelong in the 1960s that culminates with a colourful costumed trip around Geelong West as councillors celebrated (for a week) in schools, halls and public houses.

Hint: if you’re 50+ you might see yourself on-screen as a celebrating schoolchild!

This event is supported by the City of Greater Geelong as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival (10-31 October).

Tickets are free and you can book online via Humanitix
